The meadow-manager had birthday and he was so kind to travel with me to Cologne. Aim were two exhibitions. But after our arrival – with only five minutes delay – we had first breakfast in the café Reichard (we set off quite early in the morning).
Then we walked to the Museum Wallraf to the exhibition ‘Once upon a time in America – Threecenturies of US-American art’.
Worth seeing, although most of the artists are unknown for us. But I can only recommend a visit.
But in the first place I wanted – the operativ word is I – to see an exhibition at ‘TENRIJapanisch-Deutsche Kulturwerkstatt e.V.‘. First I thought they are domiciled in Dusseldorf, but no they are in Cologne in the ‘Südstadt’.
Here is an interesting exhibition about the Japanese artist Nobuko Tsuruta in progress. The exhibition is open till 22.12.2018. A visit is worthwhile. I never read let alone see something about Saori-ori. But this enthuse me. Furthermore the artist dyes her fiber with pigment.
The meadow-manager was allowed to photograph and I am pleased to show you the pictures.

Wien und die Mistkübel – Vienna and the dust bins

To visit Vienna is tradition, however most time in autumn. And I can’t avoid the dust bin (litter bin, thrashcan).
Alone the picture in the parcs with
‘Take a poop scoop bag for my fouling
Oder den ‚Eurowischen Putz  Contest‘ in Anlehnung an den Eurovision Song Contest.
Or the ‘Eurowipe Contest’ referring to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Und dann diese Sprüche:
And then the sayings:
Beifall für Abfall
Applause for rubbish
Eine von 18.000 Filialen
One of 18.000 branches
Schau net weg, Hau eini Dein Dreck (Schau nicht weg, wirf hinein Deinen Dreck)
Don’t turn a blind eye, throw into it your rubbish
48-sheet metal (unfortunately I don’t know what it means)
Dump the football (there you find in Wikipedia this message: (I try to translate) with the football at the attacking player foot he is galloping to the goal of the opponent.)
Das Publikum gibt mir alles
The audience gives me everything
Zeit für Gefülle
Time for filling
Gib meinem Hängen einen Sinn
Give my hanging a sense
Bin ned haglich (bin nicht heikel)
I am not particular
Schwarzes Loch sucht Restmaterie
Black hole is seeking interstellar matter
I hope the dust bins will stay furthermore colourful and not only dull grey with only the telephone-number.
