Wien Grinzing und Schaufenster - Vienna Grinzing and shop windows

Usually in Vienna we stay overnight in the 5. district (called Margareten) near the ‘Naschmarkt’.  It is still a cheerful neighbourhood with a lot of small shops. And the shop windows are worth to take some pictures.
So gibt es einen kleinen Buchladen
So there is a little bookshop

a smallvegetable shop with interesting salts and sugars e.g. raspberry salt and raspberry sugar. Here you could look incessantly and take suggestions

 Dann gibt es die Puppenklinik
Then there is the repair shop for dolls and bears

One afternoon we spent some hours to a stroll in Grinzing.

And the pictures of the shop windows of the ‘Hofzuckerbäckerei Demel’ should not be forgotten.

Das war jetzt alles zu unseren Wientagen.
That’s now all to our days in Vienna.

Wien Sissy Museum - Vienna Museum about Sissy

At our last visit of Vienna I screwed the promise of a visit of the Sissy Museum out of the meadow manager – men are unamazed. I think during summer there is lot more of tourists. But so my photograph by appointment could do his business undisturbed.

First you saw the departments with china, centrepieces, cutlery and household linen. At the court all was exactly regulated. So each day the bedclothes of the empress and the emperor had to be changed.

For journeys to another palace all has to be taken along, because the other palaces didn’t have the equipment of china and the like.

It was not mentioned the size of the staff. Only, that it was a hierarchical organized and everybody has its well defined duties. However for the staff it was all well arranged.

In the first floor you could see all about Sissy.

Also if the visit of the museum sounds kitschy, iayou should take time for a visit if you stay in Vienna.
