Ebenso ein Muß der botanische Garten, der gleich neben dem Belvedere liegt. Somit kein Umweg.  

As well a must is the botanical garden, which is next door to the Belvedere palace. Therefore no circuit.  
Der Alpengarten war leider schon geschlossen, aber alles andere war zugänglich.
The rockery was already closed, unfortunately, but everything else was accessible.

 

Das Schiff auf dem Haus fasziniert mich immer.
The ship on the roof of the house always fascinated

Die Bienen saßen auch auf den letzten Blüten.

The bees are on the last flowers. 

 

 

Wohnen in der Gegend ist bestimmt nicht schlecht. To live there in this area is certainly not so bad.

Hier sind mehr herbstblühende Krokusse in der Wiese, als Herbstzeitlose. Ist eine Überlegung wert, nächstes Jahr dies nachzumachen. Ist vor allem etwas preiswerter – nicht billiger – als die Herbstzeitlose.

Here in the meadow are a lot more of autumn flowering crocuses  than colchicum autumnale  (autumn crocus). It’s worth a thought to copy this next autumn. It is less expensive – not cheaper – then the colchicum autumnale.

 

 

Und natürlich die Ecken, die nicht direkt zugänglich sind, die man aber sehen kann.

And naturally the corners, whiche are not directly accessible, abut you could see from distance.

Gartenbesuche: der botanische Garten in Frankfurt – visits of gardens: the botanical garden in Frankfurt

Der botanische Garten in Frankfurt ist immer einen Besuch wert. Allerdings weiß man noch nicht, wie es weiter geht, da das ‚Grundstück’ dem Palmengarten zugeordnet wurde.

The botanical garden in Frankfurt is always worth a visit. However no one knows what’s next, because now the property belongs to the Palmengarten.

 Am Samstag den 06.09.2014 ist wieder Pflanzenmarkt von 9.00 bis 16.00. Wir sind noch nie ohne Pflanzen nach Hause gefahren.  
On Saturday the 2014/09/06 is a plant market from 9 o’clock a.m. till 4 o’clock p.m. We never drove home without a plant.  

   

Wien - Sonntags – Vienna on Sunday

Zwei Tage sind wir getrennter Wege gegangen. Ich konnte leider keine Aufnahmen machen. Die Vorträge über urbanes Gärtnern unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Frauen war informativ. Leider war das Wetter schlecht, der Besuch des Wertheimsteinparks fiel aus. Die Fahrt zur Arche Noah in Schiltern verlief regnerisch, aber bei der Ankunft hörte der Regen auf und später schien die Sonne. Jetzt weiß ich, warum Samen so teuer sind. Ist gar nicht so einfach Kürbis- und Zucchinisamen  zu erhalten.

Am Sonntag wurde zuerst das Naturhistorische Museum besucht. Über die Ausstellung schreibe ich später. In die größte Flohsammlung gingen wir nicht. Es hat sich jemand geweigert – nicht die Gärtnerin.   
Two days we went separate ways. As I forgot my camera I couldn’t take any pictures. The lectures about urban gardening under special consideration of women were quite interesting. Unfortunately the weather was rainy, so we missed the visit of the ‘Wertheimsteinpark’.  The journey to the ‘Arche Noah’ in Schiltern was rainy as well, but after arrival the rain stopped and after a while, the sun was shining. Now I know why seeds of courgettes and cucurbits are so expensive. It is not easy to receive the seeds of cucurbits and courgettes, of one kind.
On Sunday first we visited the Museum of Natural History. About the exhibition I will write later. In one of the biggest collection of fleas we didn’t go. Somebody refused the visit – not the gardener.

Anschließend einen Kaffee im Stadtpark.
After the visit we had a nice coffee in the ‘Stadtpark’. 

Dann fuhren wir in den botanischen Garten – mit dem Öffi.

Then we went to the botanical garden by ‘Öffi’.

 

 

Und zum Schluss noch das Belvedere – das Palais des Prinz Eugen.
And at the end  the Belvedere – the palace of Prinz Eugen.

 

Der Abend fand dann seinen Abschluß in Nussdorf beim Heurigen. Seit neuestem wird der Wein mit einem Glas Wasser serviert – schon in Haslach ist mir das aufgefallen. Ich habe den Wein ‚Wiener Gemischter Satz’ probiert. Hat sehr gut geschmeckt.
The evening ended in Nussdorf at the ‘Heurigen’. Since very recently the wine is served with a glass of water – I saw this already in Haslach. I tried the vine ‘Wiener Gemischter Satz’: and it was delicious.

Dann noch eine Wahlplakatparade zur Ansicht. Da wollte ich noch wählen per Briefwahl den schönen Mann wählen.
Then you see a parade of elections posters. At this time, I had in mind to vote by mail the beautiful man
