Über das englische Magazin ‚Gardens Illustrated‘ habe ich in einem Artikel über den Hermannshof in Weinheim von dieser Gärtnerei erfahren. Der Gärtner hat nämlich - früher im Odenwald ansäßig  - im Hermannshof gearbeitet. Die Gärtnerei ist letztes  Jahr in die Nähe von Kitzingen umgezogen und hat im April aufgemacht.

So haben wir einen Ausflug gemacht und uns über das riesige Angebot gefreut, vor allem, daß man auch Pflanzen bekommt, die man im Hermannshof bewundert hat.
So we went to an excursion by car and could enjoy the enormous offer, especially that we could buy plants, we admired in the Hermannshof.
Die Bilder zeigen, daß alles noch im Aufbau ist.

Gärtnerei Sarastro Mai 2015 – Nursery Sarastro May 2015

Derzeit bin ich/sind wir viel unterwegs  bzw. ich besuchte  einige Kurse,  und wenn wir wieder hier sind, dann hat der Garten Vorrang. Auch wenn  das Garteln  aufgrund der Hitze sich meist  in  Grenzen hielt. Somit blieb für das Bloggen wenig Zeit.

At the moment I am/we are a lot out and about respectively I visited some workshops, and when we were at home, then the garden took priority. Even if gardening was kept within a limit due to the heat. Therefore there was short time for blogging.
Im Mai waren wir wieder in meiner Heimat. Unter anderem haben wir dann die Gärtnerei Sarastro besucht. Eigentlich wollte ich darüber schreiben und auf die Veranstaltung des 20-igjährigen Bestehens hinweisen. Aber daraus wurde leider – aufgrund des nicht Bloggens -nichts.  
In May we were visiting my native country. Among others we visited the nursery Sarastro.  Actually I wanted to write about and to point to the 20^th anniversary of the nursery. But unfortunately it didn’t come offs – because of the not blogging.

2014 und 2015: Saisoneröffnung der Gärtnerei Hügin – 2014 and 2015 opening the nursery Hügin for the gardening season

Die Eröffnung der Gartensaison findet in der Gärtnerei Hügin immer am ersten Samstag im März statt. Es ist zwar – für uns - ein weiter Weg nach Freiburg, aber er lohnt sich. Ist doch meist – es sei denn sie ist zugeschneit – die Gärtnerei Sarastro aus meiner Heimat zu Besuch da. Allerdings fahren auch wir nur bei schönem Wetter.

The opening of the nursery ‘Hügin’  for the garden season is always the first Saturday in March. It is a long way – for us – to Freiburg, but it’s worth a visit. Especially for me- there is always – if it got not covered in snow – the nursery ‘Sarastro’ as guest present. However also we travel only when the weather is nice.  
Nach der Begrüßung wird erst mal zur  Bäckerei zum Frühstücken gegangen. Hier kommt man schon an einige Häuser mit Deko vorbei.
After the welcoming we go to the bakery for breakfast. Here we pass some houses with nice decoration.

Aber dann wird das Angebot in der Gärtnerei erkundet. Obwohl wir in der Zwischenzeit schon sehr wählerisch sind, findet man doch immer etwas. Und vor allem die Töpfe sind toll. Diesen Winter sind mir einige kaputt gegangen – da mußte doch für Nachschub gesorgt werden. Die Qualität dieser Töpfe ist übrigens  sehr gut – keiner ist unter den kaputten.  Auch entdeckt man einige Anregungen für Pflanzungen. Man muß nur schauen.  
But afterwards we explore the offer of the nursery. Besides we- in the meantime – are very choosy, we always find something worthwhile to buy.  And especially the pots are terrific. This winter I lost some pots to the cold – so I had to look for replenishment. The quality for these pots is excellent j- no one broke. Also you could get some planting ideas. Only you have to look.

 

 



 

Und dann noch etwas Werbung für Oberösterreich. Die Gärtnerei Sarastro  feiert am 5. September 2015 ihr 20-jähriges Bestehen mit vielen teilnehmenden Gärtnereien. Vielleicht hat der eine oder andere Lust und Zeit Oberösterreich zu entdecken.

And then I will do some promotion for Upper Austria. The nursery ‘Sarastro’ will celebrate its 20-th anniversary with a lot of participating nurseries. Maybe the one or the other has time and pleasure to explore Upper Austria.
