Kalenderblatt Februar Garten – Calendarsheet February Garden

Diesmal ist Herr Kramer, der Besitzer der Gärtnerei De Hessenhof, zu sehen. Hier werden Schneerosen gezüchtet und er zeigte dies in einem Vortrag sehr eindrucksvoll.

This time you see Mr Kramer, the owner of the nursery De Hessenhof. Here hellebores are bred and he showed in his presentation quite impressive how this is done.
Auch dieses Jahr sind wieder Helleborus Tage  geplant. Diese kann man gut mit den Schneeglöckchentagen bei De Boschhoeve kombinieren.
Wir wollen – wenn es das Wetter zuläßt (kein Schnee, kein Glatteis)  - wieder hinfahren.
Also this year there are planned hellebores days again. This you could quite easily combine with the snowdrop days at the nursery De Boschhoeve. We want to go there – when the weather is nice – no snow, no glazed frost.
Übernachtet wird wieder im Hotel Lindenhof – wo einst Jürgen Dahl – gewohnt hat. Ich hoffe wir bekommen auch dieses Mal kurzfristig ein  Zimmer.
We will stay as usual in the hotel Lindenhof – once there lived Jürgen Dahl. I hope,  we will get an accommodation at a short notice
Die Märkte finden vom Donnerstag 18.02.2016 bis Samstag 20.02.2016 statt.
The markets will take place from Thursday 18.02.12015 till Saturday 20.02.2016.  
Übrigens eine Woche später finden in Oirlich  die Nettetaler Schneeglöckchentag statt. Dabei darf wieder Garten besichtigt werden, wo ursprünglich der Verkau0f stattfand. Termin Samstag 27.02.2016 bis Sonntag 28.02.2016.
By the way a week later there are the Nettetaler snowdrop days. At this occasion you can visit the garden in Oirlich, where the market originally took place. The event is from Saturday 27.02.2016 till Sunday 28.02.2016.
Und wem das noch immer nicht langt – wie mir (nicht uns) – erstmalig gibt es in Mannheim im Luisenpark Schneeglöckchentage (Samstag 05.03.2016 – Sonntag 06.03.2016). Hier gehen wir auf alle Fälle hin – da es gut mit der Bahn zu erreichen ist.
And if someone has still not enouqh – like me (not us) – there are snowdrop days in Mannheim, Luisenpark for the first time (Saturday 05.03.2016 till Sunday 06.03.2016. we will visit this event in any case – this place we could attend by train.

Schneeglöckchentag in Oirlich –snowdrop day in Oirlich

Unser letzter Besuch in Oirlich liegt schon zwei Jahre zurück. Es war immer ziemlich voll und die Parkplatz gab es kaum. Wir hatten allerdings einen Platz im Ort gefunden –20 Minuten Fußmarsch. Aber irgendwie war das schön. Der Markt ist nun  verlegt worden. Wir aber behielten  unseren ‚Privatparkplatz‘ bei. Der Fußmarsch war diesmal erholsamer – kaum Verkehr auf dem Weg

Two years ago it was our last visit of the snowdrop day in Oirlich. It was always crowded and to get a parking place was difficult. Nevertheless we always had a nice parking place in the village – within a walk of 20 minutes. As the market is now transmitted to another place we decided a try this year again. The weather was nice, we had ‘our’ parking place again, and this year only a few passing cars disturbed our walk .
Eingekehrt sind wir zuerst im Garten, in dem früher der Markt stattfand.  Es gab da einen kleinen  Flohmarkt und auch Schneeglöckchen wurden verkauft –keine Raritäten dafür mit schönen Namen ‚vor dem Zaun‘. Wir tauften sie bei uns in ‚Zaunhasen‘ um.
First we visited the garden, where the market was held the years before. There was a little flea market and also snowdrops were sold – nothing special, but with a lovely name ‘in the front of the garden fence’. We will rename  them  as  ‘fencerabbit’. 

 
Anschließend spazierten wir zum Pflanzenmarkt. Es gab noch immer viel zu sehen (und zu kaufen) – auch wenn der Hauptansturm schon vorbei war. Und dann kam auch wieder die Sonne heraus.
Afterwards we walked to the market. There was still a lot to see (and to buy) – also when the main rush was over. And then also the sun was shining again.
