Medici-Ausstellung in Mannheim – Exhibition of the Medici in Mannheim

Wir haben einen Tagesausflug nach Mannheim in das Reiss-Engehlhorn-Museum unternommen, um die Ausstellung über die Medici zu besuchen. Es war interessant, aber irgendwann hat einem der Kopf geschwirrt, weil viel zu viel zu sehen war. Und der Schwerpunkt der Ausstellung war die Krankheit der Medici. Das ist darauf zurückzuführen, daß das Reiss-Engelhorn-Museum bei den letzten Untersuchungen der Gebeine dabei.
We made a day trip to Mannheim, so visit the exhibition about the Medici in the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museum. It was quite interesting, but at a moment of time the head was buzzing. The focus of the exhibition is the disease of the Medici. This is due to the examination of the bones of the Medici, where the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museum participated.

Mannheim – Mannheim

Zum Geburtstag der Head-Gardener wird immer eine Reise, eine Kurzreise oder ein Ausflug geplant – mit Einverständnis des Wiesen-Managers. Und diesmal war das Ziel Mannheim. Vorteil dieses Ausfluges, die Anreise per Bahn erfolgte nicht im Dunkeln, somit musste man nicht so früh raus. Ich wollte mir die Fotoausstellung ansehen. Allerdings dachte ich nicht, daß diese so umfangreich und informativ ist. Jedenfalls waren wir nach zwei Stunden erschöpft. Mit der Bahn zu fahren hat den enormen Vorteil, daß auch die Head-Gardener ein Glas Wein zum Mittagessen trinken konnte.  Sonst hat Mannheim nicht viel zu bieten – Entschuldigung liebe Mannheimer. Selbst eines der schönsten Blumengeschäfte existiert nicht mehr. 

At the birthday of the (she) head-gardener we always plan a journey or a short trip or a day trip. This time I decided – with the allowance of the meadow-manager a day trip to Mannheim. The great advantage of this trip was – we travelled by train at light, that means we have not to get up soon. I wanted to visit a photo-exhibition. Although I didn’t realise that it was so enormous and informative. Anyway the visit lasted two hours. To travel by train has one advantage: the head-gardener could drink a glass of wine with the meal. But unfortunately Mannheim has nothing to offer – sorry dear Mannheimer.  Also one of the beautifies flower shops does not existed any longer.
