The meadow manager mowed the grass of the meadow under the walnut trees before we travelled to Upper Austria– so it would be easier for us to see the fallen walnuts.
After our return I couldn’t believe my eyes that the autumn crocuses were flowering – despite the dryness. Naturally not as many as in the meadows of Upper Austria, but nevertheless. If only the bulbs are not so expensive. And naturally it is always raining when they are flowering – then they fall over.

The walnuts fall already from the trees – rather soon in this year. And the green woodpecker is ranting and raving at us.

The cyclamen are rewarding. The meadow manager cares about the seed heads – therefore they are so many flowering.

Here – what we call in fall – the hummock of cyclamen – in winter we call it then the hummock of snowdrops.
