Endlich mal Sonne. Ich habe die ‚Machete‘ (hihi) in die Hand genommen und mich zur Waldlichtung durchgekämpft.
At last the sun was shining. I took machete (hihi) in my hand and struggled to the clearing.
Die Waldlichtung liegt am anderen Ende des Gartens und wird von einer Fichtenhecke (vom Vorbesitzer aus dem Schwarzwald mitgebracht) begrenzt.
The clearing is on the other side of the (usual) garden entrance (by the way there is an entrance as well) and is edged by a hedge of spruces (they are planted by the former owner with seedlings from the Black Forest).
Letztes Jahr war das Gras nieder. Dieses Jahr kann man von der Bank kaum den anderen Gartenbereich sehen.

Die Bestimmung dazu habe ich im Internet unter Insektenbox gefunden. Ich wußte gar nicht, daß es so viele gibt. Einige hätte ich zu Hummeln gezählt.
The identification I found in the internet under ‘Insektenbox’. I didn’t know that there are so many hoverflies exists. Some of them I would think the belong to bumblebees.
