Gärtnerei Kirschenlohr in Speyer - Nursery Kirschenlohr in Speyer

Dieses Jahr muß ein Besuch des Gartenmarktes Maikammer

(Fotos zu diesem Ereignis) leider ausfallen.  Der Wiesenmanager muß die Verwandtschaftsbande pflegen. Aber vielleicht ist es gut so, da es heiß werden soll bzw. bereits  ist.  Hoffentlich regnet es bald, da ich mich mit neuen Pflanzen eingedeckt habe. Ich bin gerade dabei  den ‚Bug des Bootsbeetes’ zu überarbeiten und brauche dazu natürlich einiges an neuem Pflanzmaterial. Wir sind als Ersatz zur Gärtnerei Kirschenlohrin Speyer gefahren (ca. 120 km).

Das Angebot an  Sonnenhut (Echinacea)  und Schlangenknöterich (Bistorta/Persicaria) ist riesig, die Beschriftung lässt allerdings zu wünschen übrig. Obwohl bei den Sonnenhüten (Echinaceas) die Blätter je nach Sorte unterschiedlich aussehen, möchte ich doch gerne wissen, wie die Blütenfarbe ist, ob es eine gefüllt oder ungefüllt Form ist, die Höhe usw.  -  vor allem, da sie noch keine Blüten hatten. Bild brauche ich nicht, aber zumindest eine Beschreibung.

Ich möchte mir gerne einen Überblick verschaffen und mich informieren, was es alles gibt. Ich gehe selten mit einem Pflanzeneinkaufszettel weg – meist gibt es dann doch nicht das, was ich suche.  Und stundenlange Beratung – vor allem, wenn es nur eine Person gibt, die sich auskennt , dafür mehrere Kunden, die auch was wissen wollen –  benötige ich nicht.
Trotzdem ich bin fündig geworden und neugierig, ob mir auch eine gefüllte Blüte beim Sonnenhut gefällt – gekauft habe ich jedenfalls ‚Hot Papaya’.    

Unfortunately this year we can’t visit garden market in Maikammern (photos of the event ). The meadow-manager has to cultivate his relationship. But I think it’s ok, because the weather will be hot respectively it is already hot. Let’s hope, it will rain soon. I am redesigning the ‘bow of the boat-border’ and as I needed some new plants as well, we travelled instead to the nursery Kirschenlohrin Speyer about 120 km far from us.
The offer of coneflower (Echinaceas) and smartweeds/pinkweeds (I don’t know, if the name weed is right; it could be a weed, but not the one you buy at the nursery, because you have to pamper them) is enormous, but the description is awful.  Although the leafs of the coneflowers look quite different, I like to know how the colour of the blossom is, is the blossom filled or unfilled, especially if there is no blossom to see. I don’t need a picture, but a description at least.  I like to get an overview about the plants which are for sale in the nursery. Very rarely I have a plant-shopping list – normally I don’t get what I want. And advising for hours – especially there is only one person who knows if and where the plant is  and a lot of customers – I don’t need.
But nevertheless I bought plants and I am curios, if I like a filled coneflower – because I bought ‘Hot Papaya’.
